You asked for a surprise, I think Enciso might be the surprise. I believe the kid is already on the verge of being superb, nay top-class, we just haven't really seen it yet because he's spent most of the season injured. Moreover I think Julio himself might believe the same and may have been thinking - 'one more year at Brighton, then I'll move on'. And he may still be thinking that regardless of the injury. Put it another way, if a good move becomes available, I wouldn't be at all surprised if him and his agent really push for it.

When he signed his last contract there were some rumours of other clubs being interested in him, if I remember correctly. I was quite pleasantly surprised to read an article from his agent that seemed to pretty firmly steer him towards staying at Brighton and looking at it from the view of being best for his development. He certainly seemed sensible and more concerned about Enciso than agents fees.

Tony always talks about one sale a year. We only sold caciedo because the price was absolutely ludicrous. On that basis I think he will hold pretty firm in the summer.

My prediction is Mitoma will be the big guy that goes. Maybe man city , hopefully at least 50m

Pedro. Definitely going to be interest, but we won't let him go for less than 100m+ and I don't see anyone stumping up the readies.

It’s just tiresome. Ferguson is the prime example. Bangs a few in and clearly a talent and NSC is discussing what he’s worth - who gives a shit - he’s our young player. It's hardly NSC's fault that whenever we get players who are clearly capable of playing for bigger teams with bigger pay scales the media start selling them for us. Sure we could ignore it but why? Who we can retain is of real interest and concern to supporters of the club.

TBH I am not worried about any players being poached I actually don't see mItoma going, Pedro yes but in the current climate with teams scared of running foul of FFP I don't see the asking price being met. My big concern is RDZ, at least this time we will not be blindsided. As for Pervis being rubbish WTF.

Yep, I am not too worried about the players. I don't like how it's all gone quiet, re Liverpool. The pundits have RDZ running a close second to Alonso. RDZ would be a fool not to take it if offered, we really don't have the resources to constantly punch above our weight, a regular top ten finish with an occasional sniff or two at some silver ware and an on-off spot in Europe is probably the best (and bloody proud of this we should be) we can hope for. Whereas Liverpool whilst he would be under extreme pressure to get results, have the resources he needs.

It's a completely different club to the one that nearly got relegated out of the league. So yes times are good but I think salad days is a bit harsh, we will have peaks and troughs in the PL but I see us as holding a place for quite a while.

While we have an owner who has realistic ambitions and the love of the club central to why he has invested, we will remain in good shape.

At the moment we can't say. If players change agent and see us lose RDZ and fail to qualify for Europe again, they'll think one way. But if we finish strongly, hang on to RDZ and maybe invest a little more of our transfer profits, they may think differently.
