i have to agree harding did have a bit of shocker last night i don't know if he will cut the mustard to be honest. we miss carpenter for sure. not sure why everyone slates kuipers? he had a good game and made a good save before their second goal went in.

jarret and knight had a good game. molango is getting better but still something missing i think,

i also don't agree with poxy cup comments its about time we started progressing as well in these competitions, its money to us the higher we get and we are supposed to be a first div outfit now.

Fair point about the cup actually. We should be making ground in competitions like that.

I was hacked off and a bit flustered when I got in last night. Negativity is pretty draining especially when you've seen your team under perform, again.

Oh well, here's looking forward to Saturday

Well, that was my first match of the season and I can hardly take comfort from such an inept performance except for the first 20 minutes or so. Harding an under 21 international......bollox is he. Lacked a lot of quality last night and was certainly responsible for both goals, Molango huffed and puffed up his own backside and missed a wonderful opportunity to make the scores level. Albert was full of running but saw something in the second half that leads me to believe he has an attitude problem and Iron Man Danny was not the same person we were watching last season.

Positives.....thought Leon was a handful but was on the floor too much for my liking, Currie was (as everyone agrees) Man of the match but was also impressed with the little Chelsea guy we have on loan (name eludes me) as he took the challenge in the 2nd half. Overall, I still think we need beefing up and I have changed my mind about our chances of staying in the Championship............were all doomed!

knight has a very bruised shin. McGhee said there was no "real" damage and whether he plays on Saturday will depend on a)how bad it ios, and b) how much LK can tolerate in terms of pain

Im an optimist but last night was awful.

We played well for 20 minutes while they sat back and tried to keep it tight early on. When they started coming out and competing we conceeded a soft goal and then panicked and started either knocking crap long balls when we had plenty of time left to pass the ball about and then when we were running out time we started taking 6 passes to reach the half way line.

There are no excuses for losing to a team two leagues lower. None. Harding was especially poor.

Having seen the highlights it looked to me like we were very unlucky.

Defending maybe complacent for their goals but we created plenty.

Rovers are doing well in League Two.

I'm not too concerned. We'll win 1-0 on Saturday. :clap2:

Whilst it is difficult to comment on the team when all I have to go on is comments on the NSC and the press, but I do wonder whether the root of the problem is that Roberts has been missed, whilst the FDM may be an excellent shot stopper it has been stated many times that he does not command the area, this can inflict far more pressure on the best of defences and will in turn effect the whole sides performance. Only time will prove this once Roberts has returned.

Vankleek Hill, actually....
I don't think Kuipers is the problem.

I would look very carefully at our defence. Cullip and Butters aren't all that they are cracked up to be. Butters can read the game and head the ball well, but he does have that lack of pace. As for DC, I think it's time he stopped shouting at everyone else and started concentrating on his own playing, which really isn't very good.

Virgo isn't a right back, and Dan Harding did have a bit of a miserable game.

Currie and Nicolas IMHO, had a very good game. Currie's crossing and passing I thought were pretty accurate, and Nicolas keeps the ball on the groud and actually looks for someone to pass to.

Jarret's running up and down the left wing is ok, but he just needs to tighten up on his final pass. Hinshlewood had an ok game.

My opinion on Leon Knight is to stop acting like a prima donna and start playing football. He needs a kick up the arse and told not to end up on the floor like he does.

Molango and Robinson were ok, Robinson in particular chasing balls, where as Leon tends to let them go.

However, the main problem again is height. We need Leon and Jakey to grow another foot overnight, as we keep hoofing balls into the box for them. Either that, or we need to learn how to pass along the ground.

It's not Rocket Science........or is it.!!!!!!!
