That I have seen at albion :-

jimmy head case (could play as well !)
doug rougvie (er just nuts)
steve foster (could play as well)
danny Cullip (same as rougvie)

almost very hard :-

charlie oatway - saw him bite other playesr ear at chesterfield. complete loon but really needed cullip to back him up

I know we mean the mean machine that was Paul Clark and he will always get my vote... at the time he was my favourite player...

... but believe he wasn't the original tank... there was actually one before..... who was it?

I think that was Ian Goodwin a centre half signed from Coventry.
As a kid in the 50's I remember a full back called Des Tennant was also nicknamed the tank.
