[Albion] Who should replace Potter ?

A gamble, but clearly that's what Potter was as well, and there's at least £150 million of TV money at stake, (and fully prepared to get shot down) Adam Lallana, Player manager, assisted by a proven EPL Number 2, Joe Jordan who was at Pompey with Harry is currently out of work, Craig Shakespeare who was at Leicester and Watford or even Mark McGhee.

Perhaps as a number two, the answer is even closer than we think. Would Liam Rosenior consider coming back from Derby? or our very own Glenn Murray helping out around the dressing room, and coaching our forwards.

We do need someone with proven experience as the main man though, and that's something we are sadly lacking now with the current manager.

Seeing as the latest poll shows a large majority for getting rid of Potter, who should we replace him with ?

Because I'm sure TB wouldn't do a half-arsed job and get rid without having a replacement lined up so who do you think he should line up before he swings the axe ?

Very simple thread, name the replacement (maybe having given the name, feel free to give reasons) but it's pointless posting if you don't have a name

From what I've seen posted, we also need a vote on who should replace Tony Bloom.

At the moment I'm happy to stick with Potter, but I've always liked Bilic, should Potter go.

any manager would be better than the current version of Potter as he is lost and out his depth.

Even a Marco Silva as bad as that is , is more of a manger than Potter is . Never seen anyone so out of their depth. Very much Hypia at the moment

Hope can turn it round but looks like rabbit in headlights

So we have suggestions of managers who have failed and managers who have never been managers.

If that's all we've got then I'm even more 'Potter In'.

You on CH: "We´ve taken this uber cautious type of football as long as we can, needs to be a change bla bla".

You on GP: "Cant play a type of football that we cant play, need to cut our cloth bla bla".

I dont think I could please you and I dont think anyone else can either. I suggest you get your own manager career started. Maybe get Andy Goram as your assistant manager, I think the four of you would do a great job.

Hughton pleased me for four of his four and a half years. I never wanted Poyet to leave. And Oscar Garcia is probably a better coach than both of them. What Poyet and Oscar both realised is that our player budget would never match their playing styles. What Hughton realised is that a particular way and type of player is needed to get promoted from the Championship.

I don't see either the balls or pragmatism in those in Potter.

But this is the 'who would you replace him with' thread (unless you gave a name earlier on in the thread)

*edit* No you didn't. And don't say you said Swansman :lolol:

Steven Gerrard, as a Manager not a coach, with Liam Rosenior No 2

You said give a name. You never said it had to be plausible :p

I would take the job though! And fail. Much like everyone else in here, despite the common belief that the manager is an idiot and that they are not.

Thomas Frank please

Now there's a thought . . .

If he could be prised away from Brentford of course. No foregone conclusion as they could well be Premier League bound next season, plus a certain Mr. Benham won't be best pleased.

Also my answer. He's clearly doing something very right at Brentford, and if they don't go up this year then he will be looking at that next challenge. Although of course if we stay up Potter is unlikely to be going anywhere
