Maybe someone can help me!
The first Albion goal scored whilst I was alive happened on the 21st August, 1993, vs Hartlepool United. Can’t find the goal scorer online.
Kit Napier (inswinging corner) v Bury 1969. 2-0 final score
Grummitt was a truly great goalie, the best in our history. Chatting to older Albion fans over the years, they told me about incredible Grummitt saves homes and way.
To me, they didn't look that great. That was because his positional sense was so good, that he didn't need to throw himself around and look spectacular as some goalkeepers do. He was a really good, safe and reassuring goalkeeper and yes, probably our best ever.
Who ever it was who scored for us v Chesterfield on 21/9/63.
Either Kit Napier or John Napier in a 4-1 win against Barrow in the spring of 1969.
I can't find a list of the order of scorerers online.
At home to Southampton with a penalty. Result was 1-1. Might of been 82. ( but I could be wrong on all of this lol)
Maybe you can help me then. My first game was on 8 Nov 1958 v Bristol Rovers. It was 1-1 and both teams also missed a penalty - ours hit the bar and theirs hit the roof of the stand. But I don't know who scored for us and can't find it online.
Whoever scored first for the Albion against Wolves in 1969 in the League Cup at the Goldstone
