There was just the right amount of hair on this fanciable goalscorer's chest. His celebrations had my 3 eyes peeled, and the goofy mystery in his smile kept me interested.
Fonseca.
Paul Gascoine - Saw him play about 6 times and the ball just stuck to his toes-amazing
Glenn Hoddle - Probably the best but was 20 years ahead of his time. Just as skillfull as Ronaldinho
Michael Robinson - I was always him when playing at the park, great goalscorer when he was supplied.
But there are so many greats I have been luckily enough to see at the Goldstone and around the country. These are just my favourites but they are probably not the best ever players.
To have seen players Like Dennis Mortimer wear the Abion shirt and Frankie Worthington was amazing they didn't have the legs to run but there timing on the ball made up for it. Dennis Mortimer helped Dean Saunders so much on the pitch in his first season for us. You could just see him coaching him all the time. I have always wanted to asked Saunders if Dennis had an effect on his career.
I guess from a Brighton perspective its got to be Zamora.
Otherwise, Faustino Asprilla - the rubber limbed loon. How many players miss the European Cup Final, having slashed a leg booting in a bus door after an argument with the driver. And of course the hat-trick he got against Barcelona at St James's a few years back
