In fairness, they're right. He's been mediocre for almost his entire spell there, barring a cup run and the last right games or so. Can't see why they're so bothered if I'm honest, I think this is a great outcome for Palace. They might get a few pennies compensation, Freedman's bubble would have burst eventually as their squad really isn't all that, and they've saved themselves the expense of sacking him whilst at the same time being able to look at potentially decent new managers. I can't believe Bolton are so short sighted as to appoint a man who's only had his team playing well for eight games.

Of course I don't disagree with that, and it's early days for Dougie, we don't know whether he'll be a good manager or not. But listening to the Palace fans on here over the last couple of months, they certainly won't be happy to see him go.
