So you're not going to bother justifying your post then? Fair enough. I have as much right to comment on it and call it pathetic as you do to post drivel. If we do start signing players, I guarantee you won't be posting on here. You'll probably be gutted.

You've clearly not been following my posts closely enough. I made a topic with a poll 2 weeks ago about players incoming, that never appeared. In that topic I was labelled a fake fan who is a massive bedwetter because I had some concerns about not having a strong and competitive squad for August 9th, which is our first game by the way, not early September.

If you couldn't tell, my post that you've jumped on with such vitality was a sarcastic one, and seems to have been taken as such with the thumbs up, I'm sorry you didn't see it that way, and I will try to be more obvious in the future. I'm also someone who more than happily admits their mistakes or misplacing of faith in the clubs workings when I am proven wrong, and will be delighted to do so again on August 9th if we have a competitive squad (GK, LB, ST), the other signings would be nice, but those three are IMO must haves for the start of the season, and I worry we won't obtain them by then, putting us X amount of points behind the front runners from the off.

Like I said, if I'm wrong, I will be delighted. Hell, I'll even throw you a PM apologising for my mistakes for you to post on here as proof.

I WANT TO BE WRONG, I just worry I am not.

Obviously it was a sarcastic one. My point is nobody is actually saying that. We all know we need new signings, it's just we don't spend every minute of every day moaning about the lack of them.

If we do sign players and you post that you are happy/were wrong, fair enough. I'm not certain we will sign players but until shown a reason not to, I will have faith in Tony Bloom (the main reason we're in an amazing stadium and have an amazing training ground now) and his team. I just don't see the point of spending so much of pre season moaning about it (although ironically I have spent a fair bit of the last few weeks moaning about the moaners).

Let's all hope that you're wrong and we have a brilliant squad to start the season. I agree that the season starts on 9th August and we ideally need players in by then.

IMHO DB et al are too ****ing slow. Those who can't see we need at least 5 quality additions BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS (should have already happened BTW - see on) haven't got a ****ing clue. They are just club apologists. Get your ****ing rose-tinted spectacles off people.

As said above, the margins in the Championship are very small. We therefore cannot affords a slow start. Which means we need the squad together now (should have been much earlier).

I'm so ****ing bored of all the know-it-all tw@ts on here saying over and over "we can wait until the start of pre-season training / (then) the first friendly / (then) the first game of the season / (then) the end of the window... all massive BS.. the club need to act NOW.

If you don't like reading this, then tough. Just stop spouting the club-line over and over.

Even our beloved new manager realises we are 'running out of time'. Shame the apologists on here can't see it.

Well I'm really bored of people like you moaning all the time. Moaning about it constantly isn't going to make us sign any players sooner.

Well, I read it as a comment more than a moan IMO. One with some justification, just as yours has some merit. Could do better is probably the 'fair' result with 2 weeks until the season starts.

Where would we be though without the moaners during the three wise monkeys era ... without a club at a guess and still fans stuck up for them as well ... so we do need both sides to counteract one another

The only thing that will worry me is if the rumours about SH feeling less than happy with what he has come into are true.

You really can't compare this to the Archer/Stanley days though. In fairness, although I may be wrong, I imagine many of the moaners are fans who didn't follow the Albion then. The fans who fought for the club back then realise how far we've come in a short time and how much Bloom has put into the club so won't moan as much.

I don't think anyone thinks we have a good enough squad for top 6 at the moment. I think we just need to calm down and trust the club. If they don't deliver the signings we need in the next few weeks/the next month, that will be time to start moaning (although it still achieves nothing).

I am seriously worried for us this season, two weeks to go we have no assistant manager, we have not replaced our keeper, we have not replaced a left back, we have not replaced orlandi, lopez barnes and now ulloa, what is david burke doing

We currently have the same assistant manager as last year...Nathan Jones.
Keeper - Need
LB - Need but still definitely not too late on the ward front. He's not gonna drop wages until he knows all his options but I think this will still happen
Orlandi -barely played last season and Solly is developing nicely in that area
Lopez - not great last year and not a critical replacement but still plenty of time to acquire a squad winger and dead ball specialist
Barnes- has been replaced, his name is Chris O'Grady
Ulloa- toughest to replace but it's only been 48 hours since confirmed so don't get too emotional just yet. CMS is also back after missing most of last season and plays best with quick transition football. Just as Sami likes it.

We don't have a squad that could win the league, right now playoffs would be tough but worried....not a bit.

We'll be competitive with the squad we've got - probably a couple more signings will make the difference between being OK and being playoff contenders.

Any club can sign players, but a club with Premiership aspirations and a limited budget has a huge task to make the right appointments. We shouldn't underestimate how hard that task is.

Don't forget that Crofts is almost back. If he and CMS can play a full season then that is as good as a signing.

I remember 5 years ago, Slade bought a player in July only to sell him in August to another team.

You can put a positive spin on as much as you like but this team is seriously weak that it is concerning me.. I haven't felt this dejected for ages and yet we have everything in place. Why are we dragging our heels in bringing in new players? Sorry fella i've noticed a few people starting to question our recruitment policy and i can hardly blame them. Both of our ex managers moaned about it. To be frank i'm not interested at all in the FFP spin that is being banded about. We have 21k season ticket holders to keep happy and they won't stick around and that's for sure.

No need to apologise, worry away, we all have our thoughts on the matter and, in 10 months it will all be history to be poured over.

My opinion (rather than spin) is that the squad needs strengthening to challenge but is not so weak that we will be in relegation trouble.

I also believe that we will sign more players.

Bedwetters you either trust TB or you dont. You really think he would sink millions into the club just to give us a league one side?
Sorry licker. I will happily spunk nearly £500 on a season ticket every year but will never voice my opinion again or raise any concerns.
