Yes that's the one!

Forgot about Tiltman. I played against him at u18 level. He was super fast and that was about it!

I played against Darren Freeman just before he went pro. He was strong and fit but that was it. He got sent off too!

Eric Young...in terms of basic football ability...i used to have to turn away every time he got the ball at his feet...handy in the air though

He was sold for a million after he left us and also played in an FA Cup final, and won about 30 caps. Good player for us, surprised you put him in this thread.

Richard Tiltman without doubt

I saw his one decent game on a freezing afternoon at Barnsley. He picked up the ball 40 yards from goal, wandered aimlessly forward and we took cover in anticipation, and then hit an absolute ZINGER into the top corner, five minutes later he did exactly the same and hit the bar, then returned into his normal self.

It was as if his body had been taken over by the ghost of a footballer, and then the apparition had vacated his body.

not the worst but i do remember Tony Rougier handballing it 3 times in one half away at Ipswich one year, luckily the ref saw the funny side at how bad his ball control was and i dont think he got booked.

Big Dave Cameron.

Possibly the worst striker i have EVER seen! terrible touch, appalling in front of goal, rubbish in the air and for such a big bloke I seem to remember him falling over all the time...

Agree-cost £1000 from the army and he was overpriced at that-If my (albeit shit) memory serves me right, even Mickey Adams(or maybe assistant Alan Cork)called him useless

John Westcott or Jamie Moralee in the Gillingham years. Moralee was shagging Daniela Westbrook around that time. One game springs to mind, the 5-1 defeat at 'home' to Millwall on a freezing cold Tuesday evening in January in the Auto Windscreens Shield. Someone started a chant of "You'll only win the windscreens and you'll smash them anyway!" to the tune of Glory, glory Man United. :lolol:

There are some strange people out there, Eric the ninja? You must be joking. Peter Smith won player of the season for christ sake! The worst 3 have been mentioned on here a number of times, they are in no order, Valur Gislasson, Ashley Neal and Michael Mahoney-Johnson. Personally the likes of the Fox brothers should also get dishonourable mentions, but at least they tried - unlike those other three. I'd like to single out Mahoney-Johnson though as the worst, cos I recall him being very disrespectful to the Albion as he thought he was too good to play for us. W*nker.

The echos of "la la laaa Rougier" that day were epic!

In my 19 years watching the Albion, Damian Hilton has to be the worst by a country mile. I remember an evening away game at Mansfield, he wouldn't have got within half a mile of the proverbial barn door. On a similar note, the Early Doors behind the away end at Mansfield was a great pub!
