Peter Smith is the second worst player i have seen at the Albion. Phil Neal's son is the worst. I am better than him.

Unfair about Peter Smith I feel - as Liam Brady said at the time he did what most mon league players do when brought into a league club which is that he played without fear in his first season ( and duly won player of the season if memory serves ). It was just that he started to think about his game in the second season and couldn't improve.
I agree whole heartedly about Ashley Neal though and would like to throw Michael Mahoney-Johnson's name into the mix !

For me it is a close call between Mark Farringdon and Les Berry...neither were really much good at football, which is what we paid them for. However...there were plenty in the team during the Gillingham era who, in real terms, were probably far worse than either of those two but who are largely un-memorable.

Could not disagree more. If he were that bad then why did he get player if season in his first season?

Richard Tiltman, David Cameron, Jamie Campbell & Ashley Neal were far far worse

and it's still Valur Gislasson. One of a few really shite players loaned to us by Arsenal. This one was more shit than any of our own and Christ we had a few at Gillingham.

NSC folklore does Farrington a disservice, he was nowhere near the worst ever Albion player. He was injury prone, he followed Mike Small and when he did start to look reasonable Lloyd stopped playing him as it would have triggered a further payment.

Professional footballer (QPR) and explosive athlete.
Came to us in 1997 and dazzled us with his extraordinary bowling fielding and quality chat.

‘Micky Mo-Jo’ is here to stay lifting the team with his quirky genius and exuberant humour.

Ashley Neale was an awful player, shockingly bad and would have to be included in the all time worst Albion team. Glen Thomas was not far behind. Our worse strikers must include the risible pair of Michael Mahoney Johnson and Damien Hilton. Both rubbish.

Anyone remember David Martin? Think he was a short term signing or a loan and played st Scunnie one year when we hardly had a kick. He was also piss poor.

Those are the ones that come to mind straight away but as we all know there have been far too many...

Ashley Neale and Damien Hilton for me although there is a lot of competition from the Gillingham years, especially the first season when we used a huge amount of players.

To be honest, if you came up with the all time worst Albion team, the majority (or even all) of the players would come from the Gillingham years. Almost unfair to include them to be honest.

I think this is a fair point, at that time we had far more serious issues on our mind than the quality of football on offer, mere survival was the main concern.
