IMO, A First isn't a degree for anyone who's "intelligent."

Those that were intelligent did enough drinking and f***ing about at university to come out with a 2:1

Does your first year count towards your final grade? If not, working hard is not very intelligent is it?

the thing is i did f all work in the first year, just completed the work that was required, i input very little effort in the knowledge that it would not actually count towards anything, and still came out with the first!

i would like to think that i could achieve much better than i did as well! in percentage not level as that is obviously not possible, there is no such thing as a first+

I reckon the results would actually be quite surprising. I don't think some people on here are quite as intelligent as they think they are.

Yes there is.

First+/FirstPlus are one of those companies who advertise loans to get you out of debt, the kind of thing that pollutes every ad break on TV these days.

I went to the University of Bolton, surely this means I win hands down?

i believe you have just scored poorly, i nearly said lowly but realised that would contradict my point, on the english section, as there is no such thing as a first+, but there is such as thing as first plus, there is not a first plus just there is first plus.

So a Poly? So is being on course there as good as being on course for a 2:1 at a more established Uni such as Warwick or Durham or being on course for a 2:2 from Oxford or Cambridge?

well if you go to oxford or cambridge and only come out with a 2:2 then you havenot utilised the facilities and support available to you, i belive that intelligence is making the most use out what you are given!

it wouldn't be good practice to conduct such a test online as there are obvious methods of cheating available on hand,

the world wide web has answers to most questions the world asks, also we wouldn't be able to tell if sneaky posters have combined forces with others to add to their brain power in order to gain a false intelligence level.

unless everyone promises not to cheat :jester:

I think that is true UB, but then of course there are exceptions to the trend.

Some of the New Universities are the best in the country at various disciplines. Take Real Estate Management at Oxford Brookes for example.

But by suggesting that you are the one capable of spotting these type of people are you not presuming yourself to be of a superior intellect;)

There is some truth in that, but the top students will still go to the more traditional establishments.

I didn't.

Not presuming at all, I am certain of it.

Meade's Ball has to be the most intelligent on here, at least 80% of his stuff is way above my level.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Can we take a quiz in two months time when my left temporal lobe has completed its reparative engineering?

I can barely compute my knowledge or pictoral expression of cherubic yesmen and their hidden tools of want and slice. Their electoral process and the smallest sin they did to earn them feathered drapes with which they gain the right to hover, and the permission to punish from God's swill pressing on their must.

I do sit pained from being dumb for even a brief still.

I would go along with that. Sometime the insights he has are excellent. However I may be reading to much into what could essentially be gibberish.

We could always just forget trying to work out who's the most intelligent and just stick to talking about football in general adn B&HAFC in particulaer, but I doubt if that idea will catch on.
