Flair name.
Does multiple back-flip celebrations.
Succumbs to baffling mystery injuries.
Multiple run-ins with the LAW.
Tweets in his own secret language.
Thunderbolt shots / goals.
Throws TANTRUMS at being subbed / not coming on.

100% seconded.

And he is dating a former coach's daughter. Close the thread.

Also, plays in a style that I don't believe anyone has ever tried before. His dribbling style is completely unique. Like cheese & marmalade sandwiches, it shouldn't work, but it just does.

Chandlers Ford
Nick Ward- had the appearance of a global superstar and did occasional skill but was totally shit

Johnny Dixon- two words: Holly. Valance

He dated Holly Vallance
He was (officially) SPANISH, at a time when flair foreign types were at a premium.
He was rubbish.
He produced music videos and that.
He dated HOLLY flippin VALLANCE!

(I second your excellent suggestion)

Maheta Molango deserves to be in there.

Swiss born, which itself was a rarity at the time but also of African decent. And THAT goal.

I'll second the following:

David Lopez - Poyet vintage, unplayable on his day
Stefan Iovan - class
Tomasz Kuszczak - we need a POLE in there.
Lorenzo Pinamonte - rubbish had our hopes pinned on him, replaced by boring old Bobby Zamora
Florent Chaigneau - best name ever for a flairniac.

Rod Thomas gets a mention but I'm not seconding him. If only he'd had a tantrum when Adams stopped picking him after being one of our only half-good players pre-Adams.
CKR is too much of a twunt to be seconded. If you're not going to give a toss and make an effort, then you do need to be quite good whilst at the club. This gimp was rubbish for us.

I'll second The Hawk on account of:

a) that gorgeous bullet header own goal
b) that exquisite diagonal run straight from the dugout when coming on as sub, to giving away a penalty, to receiving a straight red, to disappearing down the tunnel by the corner flag, and all in the space of the very same minute

i'm going to second Jara Reyes as he was borderline insane

also O'Callaghan who at times looked pretty decent but was generally a bit poor and then slagged off the club

lastly (for now) Rougier who I absolutely fell in love with during his time here

By jove. He's still playing. In the French top flight for FC Lorient.

Well hardly playing actually. 17 apps in 5 years :lolol:
