I know this has been done a few times before and we are looking forward to what could be our best season ever but, given the model, who is in prime position for the next huge money sale at the end of the season ?

I'm thinking that maybe the chance has gone for Mitoma and Estupinian
And I'd like to think it's too early for Hinsh, Baleba and Ferguson
Which leaves Verbruggen, van Hecke, João Pedro, Adingra

I've got a horrible feeling it could be João Pedro

Pedro the huge favourite IMHO, there aren’t a huge number of strikers on the scene and a PL proven one will be hugely tempting

I’m going to guess it’ll be an Arsenal vs Man Utd bidding war

I think Verbruggen will get big bids. And as we have a replacement lined up, we'll accept

You'd imagine Joao Pedro as well as we've bought a player with ostensibly similar attributes

I think Mitoma might stay

If Adingra doesn’t get the game time he deserves I can see him wanting to jump ship - and he is a big ticket item.
I wouldn’t want to see Verbruggen go as Steele isn’t ideal And the others not ready to step up.
We are terribly short of top 6 centre backs. Van Hecke is great but Dunky is probably past his prime and the others aren’t really up to it.

Maybe too early for talking about selling anyone - I’ve only just relaxed after getting through the summer window without losing any of our star players! 😅 ( apart from Gross who we know was going and, well Gilmour is a matter of opinion) .

It’s very unlikely TB will let any key players go mid-season and it’s a long time until next summer.

Who will be the most valuable on the transfer market for us next summer? Much much will depend on who sustains injuries this season and how serious, any performances in international breaks and if any of the younger players have a major breakout season.

What I would say is we stand a much better chance of keeping players like Predro, Mitoma, Verbruggen and even Minteh and Baleba etc if we qualify again for Europe this season.

Mitoma needs to move next summer or we won't get good money and he won't get a good move. Realistically he leaves for £50m-60m (he's too old to bring in more than that).

Van Hecke is turning too good for us and Joao Pedro... well, maybe we can have him for another year if playing in Brighton turns out to be enough to play for Brazil consistently.

Think we'll try very hard to not sell more than two key players next summer but sometimes easier said than done.

Started to write a list, but ended up listing most of the squad.

In a way it's more interesting who WOULDN'T attract big clubs offering big money.

Welbeck : too old
March: too injured
Moder: too far from decent form
Steele: too rubbish
Dunk: too Brighton
Milner: too Milner
Webster: too mediocre

I think the rest of the squad, at some point, will attract interest. Who knows who and for how much, but we have a squad OOZING with young talent. OOZING. Big clubs are basically just adding our entire squad to their shortlists.

If Ferguson starts finding the back of the net there will be plenty of mentions of him being linked with a big move.
Just the small matter first of scoring 10+ goals.

It also depends on whether we qualify for Europe next season.

If we don’t then Joao Pedro is the next big money departure in my opinion.

This is my thoughts, sell Mitoma for good money and make Adingra the first choice left winger.

We bought Mitoma for £3m and we've got a lot out of him, I'd say £50m would be fantastic business.

Agree. I’m really not bothered. Our recent recruitment has been so ridiculously good we can comfortably cope with losing a star and banking another £80m or whatever. As well as the squad, it’s easy to forget we’ve got two potential star Argentines, a couple of England age-group keepers and gawd knows who else out on loan as well. We’ll sell one next summer, for a huge sum, I expect….could be any one of half a dozen players

Van Hecke is too slow for the top 4 sides so expect that rules him out from mega money. Pedro and Verbruggen nailed on this summer IMO. Mitoma too many injuries and the same for Estupinian and Ferguson at the moment.

Only departures in the winter transfer window would be if a player kicks off a la Trossard/Caicedo and forces our hand. Next summer? Verbruggen, Joao Pedro, Adingra, Baleba…………it’ll depend where we finish and if we’ve got a European campaign to look forward to.

I think we are right to worry about central defence.
I suspect we will go back for Boscagli in January and maybe Cashin (Derby)
