Interesting that the market doesn't like WBA's fixtures, because they'd finish above Fulham if both teams won every game.

I don't know. Would you rather be Fulham, or WBA who have 2 points fewer and a game in hand? If you ignore the fixture list, I think I would prefer to be WBA of the two because winning that game in hand takes them within 2 wins of overhauling Newcastle. As it is, Fulham already need an extra game to do that.

Sure I would rather be in the West Brom camp than the Fulham camp. It feels like they have slightly more control over their own destiny, right up to the point, when they have played the same number of games and still have less points (the bookies expectation). It would be great entertainment if one or other could overhaul Newcastle or Burnley (just not us). It is highly unlikely to happen though.

Yes,it's not a given by any means,but I just got a feeling of West brom continue this form and overtake Fulham then Newcastle won't deal with that pressure too well.
But yes West brom momentum will need a few losses from Newcastle but I can see it happening.
Its just a matter of whether there is enough games left for West brom to achieve it.
It will be very close that's for sure.

We are right to be looking down on Newcastle a bit because they are in fact "a bit" below us (1.5 points effectively, plus they still have Fulham to play)

Whilst 36 points is still a bit 'squeeky bum', if we can get 3 points against Sheff Utd then it won't be us. Those close to us have to play each other and they can't both win(or lose).
I'd prefer we pick up 6 points, but think 3 might just do it

Last 4 seasons, 34 and a better GD has been enough. Fulham and WBA are in a worse spot than a lot of those teams.

36 will almost certainly be enough. 33 or 34 with a better GD in a likelihood will be enough imho.

After week 31 in season 19/20 , the 18th placed club Bournemouth had 27 points. We had 33, in 15th same as now. Incidentally Aston Villa were 19th on 27 but survived. I have a feeling now that WBA might do the same.

The key is being realistic about how many points Fulham ( lost their last 4 games in a row ) will get in their last 6 games.

I think 8 points absolute maximum and a 34 point ( worse GD ) finish is their best hope.

If we went down from here then we would fully deserve it

WBA have conceded just 5 in 8 . Maybe a touch to late but could see them rallying with 12 points

Their GD with Newcastle is is 12 worse but 2 wins and 2 defeats for Newcastle then that gets interesting.

Interesting their forums arn't mentioning us though but are quite buoyant they have a chance
