Here and There
Jim McNulty

Lost a kidney but still went on to have a career, was only out for 6 months.

I was in the south stand at Withdean that day, we were so close you could hear it 'pop', well that's what it sounded like anyway. It was the most sickening injury I think I've witnessed live in a match.

Anyway, being 'hard' is subjective, but I think McNulty should get a mention just for this.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Definitely Jimmy Case.

Took no prisoners.

Everyone else is a mere pussy cat by comparison

always thought Andy Crosby could handle himself, and someone who went a bit under the radar at the time as he wasn't a SKINHEAD- Richard Carpenter

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Also probably most who played in the 1950s and earlier when the rules and interpretations were a little more "relaxed" about tackling.

Igor looks like you'd bounce off him, no give at all there. Like a brick wall.

Not sure he's the hardest, but worth a mention.
