I've met Trevor Baylis a couple of times - in fact, I did some work for him once (a very small amount). He was a nice bloke but I wouldn't have called him a geniusThat little old guy in his shed, who invented the wind up radio.

Welcome backIn his autobiography, Stephen Fry recounts a story of his time at prep school. Intrigued to know what information is held about him, he breaks into the headmaster's study one Saturday afternoon whilst the rest of the school are playing cricket and retrieves his file from a large cabinet. Inside his file he discovers his 11+ exam paper and instead of a score, the examiner had simply written, "Approaching genius."
I guess for most people that would be enough, but Fry recounts that his arrogance at the time was such that he left the room utterly indignant about the examiner's inclusion of the qualifier "approaching."
