Vicente is a playmaker simply the best ever in my time, the others on most peoples list will be strikers my favourites over the years, ward, terry connor, gary nelson, zamora, kurt nogan , dickov and akinbyi

Can't really say as we didn't have seats in the chicken run but did have milk grates, however let's have a go Bobby Smith Alex Dawson Tony Towner Peter Ward now we are sitting down Bobby Zamora now at Falmer most of our players when they attack probably due to piles hurting or it's getting carried away with the excitement .:O:bounce::goal::lolol:

Spider Mellor because when he got the ball it inevitably lead to a Ward goal.

David Gipp - didn't you see him in the reserves. Bobby Zamora, Peter Ward and Steve Penney for real. I haven't had the privilege of seeing vicente live at the amex.

Ward and Zamora are the obvious ones. A more obscure choice would be Gerry Fell; he specialised in long very straight runs with defenders bouncing off him. I used to get excited when he was building up a head of steam.

Entertainers are rare
Worthington and Vicente are the only two on my list as I never saw Ward play
They are on a par with Cantona, Le Tissier and Gasgoigne

Jeff Minton used to be head and shoulders above the rest of the team...but that's not saying much.

Also Paul Brooker could turn it on every now and then

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Wardy, Lua Lua, and surprisingly Jake Robinson when he first got into the team!

Vicente stirs feelings in me that I never knew I had. It sounds ridiculous, but every time he is about to come on the pitch, or has the ball at his feet, I well up with joy. In two decades of watching football I have never experienced anything like it.

Glen Thomas.

Every time he got the ball I would jump to my feet.

And shout NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I still struggle to remember a worse professional appearance by a footballer than that comedy disaster at Brentford. I was stunned.

And bearing in mind the level of football we were watching week in and week out at the time - there was some pretty stiff competition for 'player you least want to see get the ball'.

Weirdly I felt back then we were a better side without the ball.
