Extremely impressive, ever played with the pros?

Only a couple on my table online, knocked out one of the full tilt pros, got a cheeky t shirt for that but as i said on another thread about a year ago, one of my best friends from school is one of the most known players in the world, and is sponsored by doyle brunson, luckily i was taught by my friend for free!

Turned 100 Euros into nearly 500 in Amsterdam playing poker on hockey tour (all 15 people chip in 20 and 3 people who half decent played) but was pressured into keeping going and came out with c270. Not bad going but only 2nd best. Other poker story was 10 quid in at a new years eve night 'friendly' game. 2nd place got 50 but I came out winner with 350 of the 400 pot but missed bout hour of the party as game only finished about 9ish. Still quality night and managed to spend most of it buying people drinks later on.

Lucky enough to have had a few biggies over the years, although the biggest to date was from our promotion from Div 3 which was from an initial punt of £250 ew at 12-1 then £20 or so before every game at ew prices till we got below 4s.

Then again my biggest loss was about 8k on Darren Clarke for SPOTY 2006.

Clawed some of that back with laid off money on Hamilton SPOTY 2007 and had Giggs at 85-1 last year.

On The Power and McCoy for SPOTY this year at 66-1 plus; if McCoy comes in it will be my biggest ever.

Personally, only wins in the hundreds but know an individual, who spent many years in the Mid-Sussex area, who.......
1) Was William Hill's single biggest client in the UK in the 70's.
2) Twice won amounts over £1 million, in one day, at the races. ( £1.4m being the biggest )....and that was 30-35 years ago!

Went racing and to Sgt. Yorke's Casino with this gentleman, on a number of occasions and it was the most thrilling and frightening experience.

p.s Was playing in Sgt Yorke's with £5 chips back in the 70's and looked beside me to see Harry Bloom ( Tony's Grandad - Millionaire BHA Vice Chairman ) playing with £1 chips....a salutary lesson.
