I like dating and locating old pictures and seem to have become rather good at it. It's something I started when I went through hundreds of old family pictures. My brain has always loved solving puzzles by an elimination process based on the components of the problem. It's cost me many splendid hours.

My chiming clock (which I swapped in a junk shop in Farnham Surrey for my NatWest pig collection - best swap I ever did) is just coming up to it's hundredth birthday. You think watches are expensive to service...!

You may be interested to know that the pen I most frequently use dates from 1916 (Waterman PSF 12 1/2), and the others are all pre-1950 (mainly the 1920s). Seems a natural extension to your watch hobby, as it's all about pre-computer things that work and that you can understand.

I swapped my bike for a set of nat west pigs in about 95... the pigs were worth about £200 then... not they are not even half the price. You did well

My hobby is tracing my family tree. I have traced my Fathers paternal line back to before 1066 and tracked some relatives in Australia whose ancestor was sent there on a prison ship in 1807. Ideal hobby for lockdown times.

I watch and support Good Games Done Quick also known as Games Done Quick which may give some of you some material to watch during this period. There is usually a Summer and Autumn con streamed on twitch which raises millions for doctors without borders and you get to see a lot of nostalgic games from your youth being done quickly with skill. Sometimes they allow exploits sometimes not there are a lot of categories.

Edit also known as speed running.

I catch and smoke my own fish, usually Mackerel and Herrings, when Salmon is on spesh at Morrisons I will buy one and fillet and smoke that and freeze it. Love my eggs Benedict with Salmon for a posh home made brekkie.

Yep, got my granddads old pistol, and a grenade up there. Mostly non dangerous items though like buttons, medals, tin helmets, gas masks etc. !

My wife's family was also into that sort of stuff when she was younger, & they drove around in a Dodge weapons carrier & a US jeep...& her dad built an anti aircraft gun emplacement in the garden!
They have an M1 carbine laying around somewhere too....so may dig that out

Guess not THAT unusual, but I play Dungeons and Dragons. I have on and off since the early 80s and still actively play every week (or did... Now moving to online options).

Roll20? Decent site, imo. My friends and I use it for our Harnmaster campaign as (at one stage) we were all in different continents. I haven't played D&D for years - started off on AD&D at the start of the 80's, then migrated to 2nd ed, but by then we had tried Runequest and liked it, then found HM and that really suited the way we wanted to play. It also comes with a modern day equivalent, Gunmaster, so you can really really mix it all up.

BBQing and smoking meat. And i dont mean chucking burgers and sausages on the grill !

My latest buy is worth more than my motor on my drive. Can do low and slow meats such as briskets etc. Also have cooked whole roast dinners incl roast tatties and yorkies. Curries are a great cook on it too. Keeps me sane and i have about 50 kg of charcoal stored at one time

I constantly smell of smoke tho ....and my neighbours hate me !

1996 was my swap date. Even better though, the pigs were for children's accounts only - and as I worked at Nat West at the time, I opened an account for my non-existent Nephew Nigel. So, basically Nat West bought me my clock!

I use a combination of After Effects and Photoshop. It's pretty hard work but I really enjoy getting the results right.

I worked with a team of people to colourise a black and white episode of Doctor Who from the 1960's.

It took six years but it was a big success. It ended up going to LA for a world premiere and all sorts. It was an amazing experience. The technology has improved so much that I could probably do the same thing in twelve months now. A few stills below.
