Can they make sure they fire the current backroom staff, Booker etc, and get in some quality people who can train the players to be fit, learn to defend, learn to shoot and score.

Worst decision DK ever made was telling each new Manager that they could not bring in their own people.

Enough is enough.

Not only do we need a quality man manager, we need quality in the backroom to back him up.

Stop settling for 2nd best.

Well, how do you fire someone who's already been fired?
Get him back in the office and shout it really loudly in his face just in case he misunderstood the first time. I certainly would settle for 2nd best as currently we are 19th best

Just out of interest, can anyone explain where this little gem came from or is it a case of repeat something often enough and it will become accepted as truth.

As far as I am aware, on one occasion DK told an incoming manager - Coppell I think but I may be wrong - that he wanted him to work with Bob Booker to keep some stability in the club. Sounded good enough at the time to me and the right thing to do on that occasion.

If the new manager didn't want to do that then he was free to not take the job.

Is there any evidence that this requirement was placed on any of the other incoming managers, other than what NSC says?

I think not.

My question is, who has been coaching the Reserves to second in their league? If only we had that person offering some of his coaching skills to the first team.

Oh.

Erm, when you say the manager is free not to take the job, aren't you accepting the only way he can get the job is if he works with the current staff?

If the options are unemployment or work with the current set up, it's not really a great choice is it?

I seem to remember every new manager being trumpeted as willing to work with the current set up. I also remember it often being one of the attributes that Knight listed when asked what he was looking for.
