She has obviously produced a brilliant product which helps but if ever someone deserves to succeed this woman does. Good luck to her and I hope she enjoys her millions!


Just wish she hadn't admitted that she wanted to deal with James and Duncan so early because I guarantee she would have only given up 15% and still dealt with them if she hadn't have told them

but she did make more money per 1% of her business that she had originally asked for. So in the immediacy of dealing in the den she came out with a better deal than she went in to ask for. Long term may be a different story but i really don't think she'll give 2 bits...

Fractionally more, but she gave up an extra 10% of her company that she claimed had a provisional order for 1m units at a gross profit of at least £4 per unit. I know its not as simple as this but in theory just that order alone she's given up £400,000 more than she needed to for moeny that they would have invested anyway.

I thought for them to say we think it'll cost a lot to enter the markets abroad so we'll give you another £30k was a real piss take because clearly it would cost LOADS more than that to market the product in USA and Europe, the extra 30k wont even touch the sides. It was just a way to get the higher % without appearing to be theiving cnuts! Must be the easiest money that James and Duncan ever made!

As I said though, she still did bloody well and she'll be well minted out of it, in fact i'll be adding another 12 odd quid to the turnover when I buy one later anyway!

Really..? As a target user, i wont buy one. The H+S issue falls down for me, in that you have to drill the hole first with a steel drill - can't beleive that wasn't picked up.

I'm confused. Why do you have to use a steel drill? Or more specifically, how does the drilling process differ from the traditional method?

You have to drill a hole across the cavity to get the bloody thing through in the first place - Drills (being made of steel) are tough and also electrically conductive, so if you are at risk of hitting a pipe/cable in the void, then your at risk then, irrespective of if you use a nice wandy thing instead of a coat hanger (or carbon fibre rods, as i do) afterwards. Ya get it ?

I'm sure his contract stipulates that he has to utter his little "under the rules of Dragon's Den, they have to leave with all the money they came for" speech. As if the "rules" of what is basically televised bagging were as intricate as those of chess.
