Preston Park
(Super) Cov. My uni city. Spent many a happy Saturday afternoon at Highfield Road 82-85. Saw the Albion lose there in Div 1 with England’s MarketLee (Mark Hateley) running wild. Ska-tastic!

Luton or Coventry. Both could use the money and it’s something different.

Interesting that none of the four are receiving parachute payments.

Infact Sheffield U wouldn't have been either?

Sunderland.

Not played them in the league for decades. New ground away trip (though done Roker back in the day) and two matches where the horse punchers could easily be beaten in a game against a team below them.

Luton would be funny but a worse chance of away tickets than Muff so it’s a no on that basis.

Cov would have been my vote but I still don’t trust them to be ground sharing with Kidderminster so on that basis they’re out.

Boro though. Boro can f*** off.
Played them in 2004.
We lost 2-0 but the away fans pub before the game was brilliant. ( Had to be their to experience it !!!)
Plus a weekend in Newcastle.

Luton. I had a 90 year old uncle in Southampton who died on Maundy Thursday and whose funeral is tomorrow. He was born and brought up in Harpenden, about 5 miles south of Luton, and the whole family, including my mother, were lifelong Luton fans. He was thought of by everyone as a lovely man, so I want it for him. There was a Luton mug on his desk until the day he died.

To be fair to them, they deserve a bit of joy and boasting. I can't lie, I'm feeling a little smug being an Albion fan at the moment, which is why it's good that I was humbled on Sunday to bring me back down to earth a little.

Normally I'd agree but this week I've heard - in all seriousness as well - the following :

Gustavo Hamer is better than Pascal Gross
Gyokores is better than Ferguson
Whatever the cov stadium is called now has the best atmosphere in the league.

It's all so wrong on so many levels I don't know where to start. To balance this, there are a load of sensible cov fans about as well, I just seem to have run into the bells this week that will probably go back to supporting man utd next week.

Went for Coventry just because I have a mate here (in Prague) who supports them, and it'd be fun to watch our games against them in a pub with him next season.

But I'd be chuffed for Luton if they managed it, too.

There'd be something kinda amusing about Luton getting promoted to the Premier League whilst not having Nathan Jones in charge.

Although I do wonder that if/when they're getting tonked most weeks and want to try and turn things around - would he get the call to return again?

Voted Sunderland. SoL would be a new ground for me and I seem to know a disproportionately large number of Sunderland fans so I'd be pleased for them. Coventry would be great after all they have been through also new ground for me!

Luton would be an amazing story, but it is an absolute Sh*thole with horrible fans, however they are not Boro who are worse on both counts. So anyone but Boro for me

Anything specific or just general dislike?
Actually, I was fairly ambivalent about Boro, but I've now remembered the twat I was chatting to in a pub in Darlo the other day who was giving me the "small club" chat about Brighton, so they can piss right off.
Also I ticked the Riverside off at the FA Cup game this season.
My father-in-law is a Sunderland fan and as well as being an arsehole in general, he has spent the majority of my kids' lives belittling Brighton and trying to get them to support Sunderland instead. Allied to that, having spent about a decade living and working pretty closely with a wide cross section of their support, they are right up there in the entitlement stakes.

We came up via the playoffs last season after 4 seasons in league 1, quite happy in the championship so won't be disaster if we don't prevail, probably not ready yet for the premier, just don't want to do a Forest and stay down for 2 decades.
