So with many managerial appointments nearing their conclusion it's now only Man Utd left of the big clubs to show their hand, yet only one of Poch, Tuchel, ETH, De Zerbi, Xavi can get that job so plenty of big names will be out of work.

Is it too late to kiss and make up with RDZ? Seems we were a little hasty.
I'd argue he was the one that was hasty. It's one thing to sit out a year like Potter when you're on £10 mill a year, but not so easy when you're on a quarter of that and have a team of coaches kicking their heels.

We or he. Too soon to tell.

Another quote from the Monty Python election special, with topical paraphrasing in:

Anchor: "Is it too early to say whether RDZ leaving was a good thing?"

Reporter: "It's too early to say."

Maybe in the coming week they'll announce we've appointed Boberto De Zerbi.
Looks a lot like Roberto de Zerbi, sounds exactly like Roberto Dr Zerbi, but it can't be Roberto De Zerbi because Roberto De Zerbi doesn't have a moustache. And his name is spelt completely differently.

Like when Roger Delgado left Dr Who, to be replaced as the Master by Rodney Delgado?

Yeah, sure. Just like that.

I only watched it a bit around the Ecclestone/Tennant time.
That was a picture of the young and beardless Roger Delgado, for younger readers

I'm sure you got the drift. I am in full Dr Who new season mode, celebrated but the use of an old season legend as my recently updated profile pic. Nice isn't it.

I have a fetching gif of her from a different TV series but best leave that one dangling....

ooh, he looks a bit of a hot head!

Conceição signed a two-year contract with S.C. Braga on 26 May 2014; the team had just finished the campaign one place below Académica [his former club] with the same number of points, resulting in the first time in ten years that the club was out of European competitions.

He led them to a fourth-place finish and the final of the domestic cup.

After the semi-final victory at Rio Ave FC's ground, he made the 24-mile journey home from Vila do Conde on foot as part of a bet made with his players.

The decisive match was lost to Sporting in a penalty shootout, despite leading 2–0 at half time.

Following this defeat, president António Salvador released an official statement that angered Conceição, resulting in a "violent discussion" between the two and leading to the latter's sacking.

SING. HIM. UP.
