Potter would probably do ok. He would keep us up we would have lots of possession and be quite solid. But it doesn't feel like a step forward.

A great manager 🤣 do me a favour. He didn’t stamp any kind of authority down at Chelsea the players were laughing at him.
Chelsea were an absolute shit show at the beginning of the season and it wasn't because of Potter.

Took Pochettino the best part of a season to sort out that squad into something reasonable. I'm sure Potter would have done the same given the time, if not better.

Potter had a fair enough crack at it 3.5 seasons and didn’t achieve top six, didn’t even come close.
And now Roberto has taken us backwards

There is always an excuse for Potter’s failing by some it’s quite bizarre considering he pissed off without a second thought taking most of the back room staff with him.

Not really a fit squad all season would have been very different. Mitoma being the biggest miss.
But still same challenges for everyone , over a 38 game season history books don’t lie.

Squad was plenty good enough with other players than bottom 3/ bottom 4 form shows

Anybody know what De Zerbi’s odds were the day Potter left?

Everyone relaxes when relegation is not a threat, Wolves have won once in ten games. Palace got their best players back before that the new manager was struggling.

Backwards is probably harsh. In terms of final league position yes, although we know the extenuating circumstances behind that. Overall though we have continued to progress as a club, competing in European football whilst (on the whole) playing attractive football

Nobody realistically expected us to challenge for the top 6 again this season

Bmuff away was bizarre 15 points to play for Conference was still achievable and he plays a youth team. If I was Bloom that may have been a final straw.

The problem is any manager that does well (e.g. qualify for Europe or win a cup) will end up with speculation around them leaving.
Same with any decent player , play a couple of decent games like Furgerson did , suddenly everyone wants to buy him

Done a Frexit, now in London
I still don't get the potter in camp. Seriously, look at his record. Yes he got us to 9th, but that last game we could have finished 13th, a lot of luck on the last day glossed over the fact he went on a 14 home game streak without a win, 1 win the a whole year at home, 3 months without scoring at home, 3 whole months without a win. Then he slithered off taking half the staff with him.
