Just been discussing this with a friend who supports Everton. He asked who I would like to see appointed. I replied that I didn’t know but that I completely trusted our owner to act swiftly and in the best interests of the club. He expressed his admiration for Bloom and how jealous he was of our set up.

My money is on Kompany. Plays a good brand of football. Knows the league. Yes OK Burnley have gone down, but thats more to do with the quality on the pitch, not on the bench. With a better quality playing squad, I think he is a good fit and will do well.
I don’t necessarily disagree but it would be a very brave move to appoint a newly relegated coach.

Well, I've just been offered the chance to replace RDZ at the Albion...

...on Football Manager after he left to take the Real Madrid job in 2026.

Whoever it is I will be very surprised if they are not already lined up and ready to go. Announcement imminent surely?

Which team are you currently managing then?

He likes his team to fanny around at the back too. Cost them about 12 goals actually this season.

Would be the next Hyypia, a complete disaster.

Will Still
