Where’s the option for Harry Kane as player-coach?
Up there with Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize?Where’s the option for Harry Kane as player-coach?
Disagree.yes, compared to Hughton. compared to Southgate its very similar, more pace but still heavy on possession and aversion to risk. maybe more exciting but just as frustrating.
It’s always somebody else’s fault with Potter the guy hasn’t achieved anything in English football. With Potter it’s what ifs. What if Chelsea didn’t have a billion £ squad, what if Brighton had spent £40m on a striker. Finished 12th in the championship & mid table with an a very good squad at Brighton that’s, it big wows.FFS - we spent the best part of three seasons seeing our forwards miss chances. Chelsea were equally profligate. Creating chances was never Potter’s problem. You’d hope Watkins, Toney, Bowen, Kane, Palmer, Bellingham & Foden might be less cow’s arse with a banjo.
I reckon about every third post of yours is about Potter. You are absolutely obsessed with the man. Guardiola quote November 2022 when the Chelsea ShitShow heat was building on Potter. “No one has success from day one or two, I have a lot of admiration for his work. What he did at Brighton was beyond exceptional and I'm pretty sure with time he will do a good job, I don't have any doubts. He is one of the best managers from my point of view, we have in this league.”It’s always somebody else’s fault with Potter the guy hasn’t achieved anything in English football. Eddie Howe is favourite nowNailed on it will be Potter. Its exactly the sort of appointment that fits the FAs zero imagination- he’s English, presented an evolved playing style with Brighton after criticisms of being a largely negative defensive team under Hughton, and even has the same charisma as Southgate.
Klopp would be obviously a better choice, but I think the chances of it happening are small. Howe won’t be leaving Saudicastle any time soon.
