A reminder of all contracted Albion players, and their respective contract lengths: - from NSC's own definitive and exclusive listing.
Is this the same O'Grady who has just told the Argus that he has targeted a long-term future at Albion and says failing is “not an option”? The article continues, "O’Grady, poised to lead the attack again against Nottingham Forest at the Amex tomorrow, aims to see out the three-year contract he signed when the Seagulls bought him from Barnsley in the summer. O’Grady told The Argus: “My family are here. We are settled. The kids are in school and happy. It’s definitely the target and the goal."There won't be as many departures as people are suggesting
Of the players contracted to us:
O'Grady - no - we will let him move back up North in the summer
Glen Rea has just has his contract extended until 2016

Is signing Tex that unrealistic? He's been at Liverpool for 3 years now with just 1 sub appearance. He has also just turned 22 and therefore now has to get into their 25 man squad for any chance of further action.
It's possible that a lower PL team might take him on; it's also possible that he might see us as a better bet for first team action and development.
I'd love it if we signed him early in the summer (and then put him on an intensive weight training programme).
