Who do you think we will DEFINITELY sign for next season?

Vincelot can play across the back but has played all season in centre minfield hence his good goal return. He's a threat from set pieces and at 6ft 3 would give us a much needed aerial presence.

Maybe Rooney if we're lucky.

I would like us to sign Eidur Godjohnson, just been released by Stoke, but dont think we could afford his wages. Who knows he must be quite wealthy already and is probably quite well known to Gus, possibly been at either Chelsea or Spurs together.

At the age of 32 and in the twilight of his playing career perhaps he won't be too money grabbing.

Hasnt Hughes already said he wants to sign him?

Edit: And its a pretty far-fetched suggestion for a 'Who will DEFINITELY sign' thread!

Agree with both. (I have a feeling he has no idea).

In your opinion which players do you believe we will sign for next season.

It's not rocket science.....

Not an obvious choice I know but I feel he contributed to Austin's success at Swindon and cold possibly do the same for Barnes and maybe Hoskins, not prolific but the kind of strikers who keeps defences busy. Leeds have scored 80 goals this season their highest haul for a long time and I don't think he would be astronomical wages or fee wise.
Billy Paynter has had one decent season in his entire career and has scored about two goals all season with Leeds.

No thanks.

Wood's performance on Sat may have played him out of Gus's plans. Had several chances to impose himself and create problems but lack of control let him down nearly every time. Not good enough for a starting place in the Championship.

Don't think Billy Paynter is for us - hasn't really fired at Leeds and is a bit of a lump.

Assuming we get can get a fully fit Lua Lua and keep Bennett I'd then stick with Murray and Barnes as a proven partnership who fit our style of play. Get in one more decent striker to keep Murray and Barnes on their toes and maybe keep Wood for the bench. A bit more grit and guile is needed in midfield and tighten the defence to cope with the power and tactics of the stronger Championship teams who will push harder onto us.

I was very encouraged by Dunk's brief appearance on Sat, worth persevering with. Ankergren worries me though.

I think Gus will use his contacts to do some business abroad, as long as they are good enough and will do a job for the team - up for grafting on a freezing February night in Barnsley or Burnley.

( anyone remember the rumour going round that him and Johhny Repp were signing when we got into the First Divi )

That would have been FLAIR CITY

Hoskins and Lua Lua are the only 2 that we can mention in this thread as they are the only 2 Gus has expressed an interest in.
