Gotsmanov by a country mile tho Byrne gets a mention.

Not sure Wardy was that skilful... just a great goalscorer.

My poor memory reminds me that both Graham Mosely and Perry Digweed are candidates for least skillful. Both of them had awfully poor first touch and gave away goals because of buggering up back passes.

Sergei Gotsmanov would have stood out a mile in any Albion team, let alone the one he played in. You would have to ask the manager of the time why he used him on the bench so much.

Least? Where do you start ? Les Berry ? Mark Farrington ?

I second David Lee. Midfielders HAVE to have some skill, but he didn't have any. At all.

Didn't Barry Lloyd say that when we signed Mark Farrington he was one of the most technically gifted players he had seen ?

Or something to that effect

Gotsmanov is the actual correct answer. Brilliant, brilliant footballer.

Gotsmanov was a wonderful player.
Not quite as FLAIR as Byrne though.

The least SKILLFUL [though by no means does this make him the WORST player overall] I think, was Mike TRUSSON.
