I assume it is my age (26) that is dictating my feelings but I would place Man Utd or Chelsea ahead of Palace.

For sure, I see Palace as being our rivals and it is great to have this rivalry, but Chelsea and Man Utd are everything that is wrong with modern day football.

It would be great to see any of these three slump into oblivion of the lower leagues, but I think I would laugh longer if it were Man Utd or Chelsea.

Ditto. I think they revel in that reputation otherwise they would be another obscure team like Leicester City or Coventry City. I think the appointment of Dennis WIse was a bit of a PR cock up. Seemingly he was meant to inspire the team and bring them to the forefront. The latter part succeeded as the press love a fallen 'giant'. :jester:

I have mixed feelings about Leeds. I watched the great Leeds team of the late 60's and early 70's with my ex but put up with a lot of stick whilst living and working there from my ex husband and colleagues. I knew a friend of the murdered bloke in Turkey.
I want them to go down but for a selfish reason (I want to go back to Elland Rd next season) to get the points again.

Well, that reason, and also the reason that you no doubt want to drop into your ex-mother-in-law's butcher's second-cousin-twice-removed's next door neighbour's mate's house for a cuppa

No that's the relationship to Scott Flinders in Rotherham.

I know enough Leeds fans to pop in and visit lol

Ditto but for Chelsea. I have a tiny soft spot for them ( have been to the bridge before but it was when they were still shite.

If they carry on like they are for a few more years then yes, I can see myself starting to hate them.

Shame that.

The funny thing is that when someone tells me that they support Palace I actually have this bizarre feeling of disbelief and that they're either mad or there's something wrong with them and I should feel sorry for them. I mean I'm honestly not putting it on, I just can't believe inside me that they do support them. It's a weird feeling. Perhaps tribalism like when you screw a foreign bird, they're differnt to you and if you know what I mean. Although I don't know how screwing birds and CP have got in the same message.

I know EXACTLY what you mean, when I see someone wandering about in a Palarse shirt, especially in Brighton, I genuinely feel sorry for them, like they are simple or something, really hadn't thought of that until you summed it up so well.

I'm a bit older than 26, and have a dislike for Palace written in my (Sussex by the sea sporn) Genes.

I have no problem with Chelsea or Man Utd (under current manager). I prefer Chelsea as they're south London and they're not Palace. But have extreme respect for Alex Fergarson.

Chelsea everytime. I've not followed football long enough to have any history with Palace, so it's Abramovich and he's billions ruining football for me.

I sorta agree, but it's also a fact that England now has 3 of the top 4 european teams. and infact it would be 4 if Arsenal got their act together.

I'd rather Chelski and a place in top flight Europe, than disapear into Euro obscurity.
