Had a choice of just Tory or Independent here. Independent it was.

Here in Beaconsfield ward, with the 2nd highest Tory majority in the UK, we had just 4 candidates and had to select 2. But 2 of them were LD & two were Conservative. I can't vote LD and in the knowledge the tories haven't lost a seat since Pitt the Elder there didn't seem any point joining the queue. I might enter local politics at this rate - hardly any competition. Democracy? Depressing more like....

Labour. But if I lived in Lewes in a non-SP seat I'd have voted Tory. Not sure what my ward's called but it's got Pat Hawke and Jeanne Lepper as councillors.

I voted for those nice Lib-Dem people...

...Yeah, right. Hell would freeze first.

I voted for Mark and for the two Tories (tactical voting, and all that).

Voted for nobody. Got a call from Preston Park Labour Party earlier this evening. Conversation went something like this:

PPLP: 'There's a local election today'

THPP: 'Yes, I'm aware of that. I won't be voting while Blair's in Number 10. Then I'll be back in the fold, voting for Labour'

PPLP: '*SIGH* OK, thank you'

I really dont Know how we will do ,but if i can get it down so only 1 lib dem gets in(3 seats in priory ward) i would be ok with that but if i did get in oh how the mighty would of fallen!

Anything that gives the LDs a kick-up the arse and serves notice of people's unhappiness, whether it's a cut in their majorities, a cut in their number of seats or best of all at least one SP councillor, would be a job very well done so far as I'm concerned.

Well done to all those standing, and to all those who contributed in any way to their campaigns. You've done your party and your club proud, whatever the results.

Hollingbury and Stamner. That's my ward too,

I voted Socialist Alternative - it's nice to be offered an alternative.
