The other day the drive in our dedicated server failed. Fortunately the data was recoverable and a new drive instated.

Today, I am told...

At approx 11:30 the UK network was restored. I was onsite at the time however this was something outside of our control. It appears that another customer of Euroconnex, who supply our transit and IP’s, had a hardware malfunction in one of their routers causing it to send out a broadcast storm. The offending customer of Euroconnex has been suspended pending a fix on their equipment and all of our services should now be restored

I see, a bad storm and the line was down. that explains it plus the transit has a problem, dodgy engine or something. Also the other customers have been hung, while waiting for a line of coke on their willies.
