Brighton have £115m and a sell-on clause.
Chelsea have Moises Caicedo for 8+1 years, and a lot of jubilant Twitter accounts.
Who wins?

EDIT: That's what I like to see 😎💰

Potentially both but, at the moment, Brighton and Hove Albion.

I wonder how many of his nine-(NINE)year contract he'll last...

We don’t have a sensational footballer but we do have £115m on the books. It’s the model we have to follow all the time FFP is just an accounting principle and not rooted in sporting competition. Let’s just find a huge tackling footballer that can go some way to filling MC’s boots. UTA.

No Brainer. Whichever way you look at it, £115 Million for one player is obscene.

We carry on with our business model better than ever.

Hopefully Chelsea are unable to score goals this season. If they can get a few, Caicedo will put them into the top 4. Simple as that.

Chelsea are the winners but we’re not losers. Especially if we can equal or better last year‘s finish.

They stuck at £80m. We could have accepted that (as suggested by some here) to avoid having a disgruntled player, but we managed to get an extra £35m! Indeed if Chelsea had offered £100m a couple of weeks ago, they'd probably have got him, but they managed to wait until Liverpool got involved.

So without question, Brighton are the winners in the deal.

That's not to say Caicedo isn't a great player and can't go on to great things with Chelsea, but every player has their price and we've basically got more than what anyone considered the maximum price to be.

Although those very same "jubilant Twitter accounts" were also jubilant on Friday morning as "Caicedo isn't worth more than £80m" and "Liverpool are overpaying".

To my mind, he is a simple lad, looks a bit like Richarleson (lost), not a big character, trusts in god, could have a meltdown now he is on mega money, totty-brochured, and massively obligated to service his extended family and liggers, now he is the third largest industry in Ecuador.

If he keeps his nose clean, James Maddison will have a better career.

One of the most ridiculous polls ever seen on here. Who on earth would vote Chelsea? We won't ever sell a player for anywhere near this much again
Young Evan will go for considerably more when his time comes.

He has a lot of pressure on himself now to deliver.

Hopefully he cracks under that pressure and turns into a shadow of the player he was with us.
Don’t see the point in that. Rather he did well and we receive all our add ons for him. Even a future sell on. Why despite that?
