The cooked meats in Lidl are superb - cheaper AND tastier then their more 'up-market' equivalent.
Nowt wrong with Lidl other than you can't always get everything that you need there. If you aren't afraid to buy stuff that isn't branded they do some real bargains - ice cream for example, their vanilla is scrummy at only £2.99 for 2.5L.
Here above the clouds in Crowborough the Lidl has a mixed clientele - know of several Waitrose shoppers who unashamedly also use Lidl for quality stuff at low prices. Staff cosmopolitan but friendly.
I used to into a store in Canterbury which I believe was a Netto. Well pikey, we used to joke that you could only get a management job there if you had bad BO!
