Because this forum is full of rockists, I went for Kraftwerk as they kicked the whole thing off. I could defiantly make a case for Sir Frankie Knuckles, Richie Hawtin/Plasticman & Aphex Twin.

Same here. Kraftwerk were and still are hugely influential.

Frank Sinatra, new style of singing and a teeny bop following, Elvis for bringing blues music to a white audience, Beatles and Stones for developing blues music further. Black Sabbath for developing heavy rock. Dylan for crossing all barriers. Ramones for punk. Joy Division for indie.
