if someone were to ask you 'who are united playing this evening?', you would (methinks) immediately assume they were talking about manchester united.
but do west brom have a similar grip on the 'albion' franchise. they are probably (but not undoubtedly) the bigger club but do you feel that when 'the albion' is mentioned, whoever does so needs to be more specific?

To be honest not many people outside the club refere to us as "Albion". We are always called Brighton.

West Brom are in some meaningless two-bit league that no one apart from Kinky gives a toss about.

Therefore we must be the bigger and more deserving club.

I bet if you asked most neutral fans who they think you're talking about if you say 'the Albion', they would say West Brom.

Sorry but even though they have speach impediment it's West Brom.

They've been in top flight football for far longer than us for a start, we're nicer though.
