BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Port Vale | Whittaker rejects Vale contract

Danny Whittaker has rejected Port Vale's initial offer of a new contract.

Whittaker is one of a small number of players from the squad relegated to League Two who has been offered a new deal at Vale Park.

But negotiations between the midfielder and manager Lee Sinnott have stalled and Whittaker has now been told to listen to offers from other clubs.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Valiants from Macclesfield in 2006, has scored 15 goals in his 98 games.

Sign him up, very impressed with him.

He was class against us, but I wonder if he is actually any good, or just played his one great game against the worst Albion performance of the season?

Could be a good signing - worth a look at maybe

he is a good player the only thing that could go against him is pace he has got a good assist rate and chips in with a few goals he would be a great signing a few teams are intrested though :ascarf:

Yes I do. I liked him when he was at Forest and have seen him more times than I have Whittaker, I believe that he is the brain that we need to control our midfield.

i agree there im a fan myself very good at controlling a game bags a few goals here and there how tall is he he was at bayern wasn't he a bit of class:yahoo:

I've never seen Bopp play, but I've heard great things about him. He's getting on now a bit isn't he? Mind you, would be nice to have a bit of experience in our midfield.

Im not doubting he may be a good player, I just dont want to base everyone saying he is CLASS by that one game against us

On that basis, Paul Shaw would be the worlds greatest footballer, along with Graham Alexander.
