Manchester murders possibly down to heavy duty , entrenched drug gang turf wars , Moss Side , Withenshaw , Cheetham Hill , Dewsbury ....you lot haven't got a ****ing clue have you..??

Southend on sea is over run by Romanian and Albanian drug gangs , as is Margate , this is from people who live there ....it's coming to a town near you , courtesy of your piss weak , knee taking police force .....night night....xx

The Albanians came to Brighton. The Police rounded them all up and kicked them out. About two years ago.

You must try harder.

No.

As I said, the samples are too small and not long term enough to be statistically relevant. You were suggesting that Manchester had a high murder rate because of murders by black people of other black people. When it was suggested to you that poverty rather than race was the main driver of murder, you questioned why people in places like Middlesbrough and Blackpool (as you say, deprived but predominantly white areas) weren't killing each other at a similar rate. I merely pointed out that it did not take long to show that the murder rates in these palces were not necessarily significantly below those in Manchester.

I wouldn't bother. He constantly moves the goalposts and then claims victory. It's like playing football with the kid who owns the ball and sets all the rules up to suit himself. Which is, of course, and ironically, a lot of what BLM is about. White people for centuries have moved the goalposts to suit themselves every time it looks like the blacks are getting a bit uppity. He's managed to use white priviledge to get out of a Brighton council estate and move to lovely Bristol with a quality knitwear collection. If you can leave Moulscoombe you can leave Jaywick.

If we're going to have a campaign, maybe we should look at why there are white people who aren't taking advantage of that priviledge. Maybe charter a plane to fly over Jaywick towing a banner that says "get off the sofa you scrounging gits".

why...?? they are just as likely to be whacked as whites , in fact probably more so......currently zero tolerance in place for crime and cops basically shooting to kill....ring any bells.

I think I suggested the rates of violent murder were higher in black communities compared to white equivalents, not specifically Manchester. As we know simply from the press there is a significant issue for violence in black communities in London which clearly outstrips white communities there.

https://news.sky.com/story/black-murder-victims-and-suspects-london-v-uk-11443656

I get the small sample, and it’s limitations but I fully buy the argument that a) violence in ALL poor communities is higher than in richer equivalents and, b) in ALL poor communities the incidence of violent murder is higher than richer equivalents.

If that is the takeaway point you are making with the statistics then there is no material difference concerning violence and murder in the lived lives of all poor communities in the UK; be they poor white communities in Middlesbrough and Essex or poor black communities in Brixton and Moss side. Then the good news is we can close down BLM’s arguments about some of the limitations in poor black communities as they are the same as poor white communities.

I would add a caveat, I guess there would be some cultural differences in how violence arises and it’s implications in poor black communities compared to white equivalents, unless “diss rap videos” are fuelling murders in Middlesbrough.

Maybe you have stats?

Look at this lot.

I really appreciate the use of your broad sweeping generalisations here, “the blacks” and “white people”. Terms you are able to use with such childlike simplicity, I think you are one of those people that find it very easy digest and process information, even when it’s quite complex information.

I guess that capacity helps you to register and propagate tropes like the “white privilege” routine. I genuinely find it interesting that you (and others like you) can find it so easy to launch into a rant on about “white privilege” when you know very little about other people’s lives.

Later this weekend I am due to pop round to a friend who’s sister is profoundly disabled. This friend has a lovely family and her Mum and Dad have dedicated their lives to all their 4 children, including their disabled daughter. Unfortunately as Mum and Dad are getting on now they won’t be able to continue to look after her, and as a family they would rather not put her in a home, so it’s a very difficult time for them all. They are all white, all working class and according to you all privileged.......even the quadriplegic daughter no doubt.

Maybe you have been lucky and privileged your life, maybe I have too..........not everyone has, and skin colour is not a factor in that conundrum.

You and others propagating this white privilege shit are absolute f****** clowns.

I fully appreciate why white privilege is a controversial term but I think it is widely misunderstood. It absolutely does not mean that white people are living in luxury or that they have blissful day to day lives. It doesn't really mean that they have anything but rather it's characterised by a lack of something; a lack of judgement, you could say. Being white does not generally affect how you are perceived by society. The privilege is that you don't have to think about your race.

To be fair, that's really the correct answer. If I could even be half-arsed I could dig out some old and some far more recent examples from the internet (let me think, I wonder if the history of South Africa, the USA or much of our trading wealth before 1833 would yield anything. Maybe a venture into stats on top jobs and stop and search, who knows). But I was winding him up because that's all this sorry thread and, indeed this sub forum are worth. Any vague attempts at intelligent debate are subsumed by "BUT WHAT ABOUT" because he hasn't got the balls to say what he really thinks.

If it’s a controversial term, why are people continuing to use it? I thought the general approach these days was not to offend people?

The trouble you have, being the intellectual sort that you are, is you can clearly see through the nuance associated with two simple words.

To me, as an uneducated working class lad without your higher performing mental capacity, white privilege means that by being white I have rights, or advantages over others, solely due to the colour of my skin.

Now, unless being white means I earn as much money as Premier League footballers or went to a private school and university like Diane Abbot’s kid, then we know there is no “privilege” derived from simply the colour of skin.

The correct answer is shit, if that is the correct answer.

If you can be as arsed to back it up as much as you can be arsed to dredge up the little you know about me maybe this thread wouldn’t be so sorry........but when it comes down to it by your own admission you are just a troll.

Well done.

I would have thought it didn’t need spelling out that ‘white privilege’ doesn’t universally mean every single white person has been privileged. ‘Propagating’ - a term I will give you credit of having expertise in.
