Whiplash

Anyone know the best course of action for whiplash, Someones just smashed into my wifes car at about 45mph and she's hurt her neck
The only thing is we go skiing on Saturday so I just wondered if anyone knew of an old wives tale that may help speed things up a bit

plenty of oral sex will losen up the neck muscles

Best advice I have found

Try over-the-counter pain relievers like aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen.
For at least 2 to 3 weeks, avoid activities that bring on or worsen your pain and stiffness. Don't lift or carry anything heavy or participate in sports.
If you have pain when you move your head or the pain involves your shoulders or arms, your doctor may recommend a soft neck collar or short-term prescription drug to relax the muscles.

Call your doctor if:

Neck pain and stiffness comes back after it had resolved.
The pain spreads to your shoulders or arms.
You have pain when you move your head.
You have numbness, tingling, or weakness in your arms.

Oh Yes...and contact your holiday insurance company, especially as you visited hospital...it may invalidate your accident insurance!!!

45mph smash - lucky to be doing anything with a hit that bad. Car must be half the size than it was this morning.

cancel hols and that will be covered by insurance claim against other driver, and then compo for actual whiplash

In all seriousness you both need to look at the bigger picture here, if it's actually bad then going skiing won't do her any good, in a few years time she might regret going on a poxy skiing holiday at the expense of neck and back problems

Worrying with the 'someones hit MY WIFES car' though !

Wouldn't count ya chickens until the insurance companies agree on who is liable.

You should be alright with liability then but as DTG stated, you MUST contact your holiday insurance company and explain what's happened.
