Jason Price as a right back?! Now THAT would be flair. CHARGEEEEE.

If Whing decides Walsall is a good move for him, then fair enough. I'll be questioning his ambition though, but we need to remember he is from the midlands, maybe he has family commitments up there. It might not just be a footballing choice, I've no doubt he'd like to stay here if he can. But it's not just a footballing decision, it's a life one aswell.

Please stay Whingy. :albion2:

I'll believe it when I read it as fact.
There are a few reasons for him wanting to go to Walsall, but i'd have thought there were many more for re-signing for us - money aside..

I could be wrong, but I think if was going to sign for us he would've done so by now. As BG says, this is not the massive blow that people make it out to be. He's a solid League 1 pro, with very good commitment, but rather limited as a ball-playing defender. If he signs, fine, if not - we can probably find better.

I hope that Whing will stay but on our terms where we call the tune. I wouldnt want us to go over board and stretch our budget to sign him. And to the doubters Yes Jason Price did start as right back for Swansea, would assume he could still play well there although he has played midfield in recent years.

As mentioned Whing is a good pro. I hope he signs but it would by no means be a disaster if he didn't. I think Crowe would be an adequate if not more able replacement.

If Whing doesn't stay it will be just cos of money. He's been offered a reasonable contract with us but has been offered a better one at Walsall. I really hope he stays as I am sure most Albion fans do but equally I can understand him looking out for the best he can get.

Well you say it's only about money, but it's a move practically back home, and Wallsall were better than us last season!
