This came on the radio as I drove away, moving out of the place I had shared with the girlfriend I had just broken up with in about 2002. Tears streaming down my face, even though it was for the best.

It still brings a lump to the throat

haha, reminds me of backpacking in NZ in 2001 when i had a shortlived evening data entry job in Lower Hutt, Wellington. I put this album on the communal cassette player in the small room of 6 of us. Half way through the album a woman got up and ripped out the power chord and shouted like a banshee "what is this shit?!!!". Oops.

I don't tend to listen to music that makes me even more down when I'm down, but if I get all nostalgic and sad at the fact I'm getting old I just think about all the amazing times I had when I was in my 20's, tearing the world up and learning as I went. This song encapsulates the whole meaning of being young and carefree to me.. You only get to do it once. I've shed a few drunken tears to this one...
