Absolute 80's in the morning then Absolute 70's or 90's in the afternoon.

Been decorating and listening to an old John Peel show from 1980. Such a riveting piece of history and not just for the music. Peel plays a song by The Ruts which then leads into a story about the singers car-triumph- being stolen. Peel gives out the number plate and all details requesting anyone who knows anything to let him know! You just can't see that going out on radio one now. He also talks about one record skipping on the turntable even though it worked ok at home. Cant Imagine anyone playing music at home first in preparation for a show nowadays. At the end- midnight- the station shuts down until 5a.m when it joined radio2 for a couple of hours.

The very worst presenter is Sarah Gorrell on Radio Sussex. She cannot put a sentence together. It is er,er.er. How can she hold a job down.

I know her brother - surprised she's that articulate, tbh!
