Which player (s) do you think can hold their heads up after this season?

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
'If' we go down we have to be careful that we are going to hold on to Fozzie and Whing because they are 2 divisions better than L2.

Elphick also deserves praise and thats about it.

The clearout must start in ERNEST as soon as the season ends, headed by the inept comedy double act of Booker and White closely followed by Mayo, Hart, Virgo..........

Passion and commitment is one thing but you need talent as well. On these ground you can certainly strike Frazer and El Abd off the list.
fraser imo is just a little out of his depth in league one. If he is still with us next season in league two he will be quality.

Whing, Forster, Elphick.

Unfortunately think Whing will leave if we go down as he is out of contract I think.

Forster is better then league 2 but would think he will stay as he is coming to the end of his career.

With all due respect to the people who have played for us this season, this would be my "Worst Albion 11";
Andersen ; Virgo ; Hawkins ; El-Abd ; Richards ; Thorton ; Savage ; Jarrett ; Thomson ; Andrew ; Fleetwood.

And that's not including McLeod! I mean christ, reading off that team makes me cringe. We wonder why we are where we are?!

... is the worst player I've seen play for us this season. ???

really? i thought he looked a class act when he was actually played. just a shame adams rather persisted with a midfield that consisted of centre backs

Honestly, I thought he was utter and complete tosh. Savage was on a different wave length from everyone else so he stood out, but Thornton was just so ineffective. He played well in the second half against Leicester I recall, but he was just awful in my eyes. And I was pleased when we didn't sign him in january, he was a luxury player and not one who improved our team in the slightest. I thought he was better used in the centre than the right, though to be fair to him. He looked utterly wasted wide right to me, he cut inside and then did nothing.

How much do you drink before games?

Savage looked poor for us, unfit and it looked like his legs had gone. Maybe he was just not interested, but he looked like he was being fast tracked to retirement during his rather ineffective loan with us.

Thats how I saw it but hasnt he got his way back into the Derby team?
A pertinent example of how loan players really couldnt care?

May well be the case.

Darius Henderson was like that. When we had him he looked disinterested, he had been sent here for games and really did not want to get stuck in. As soon as he went to Gillingham permanently he started to score on a regular basis and has generally done well wherever he has been as a permanent player.

Yeah. Guess it comes down to what do you want more a player like that with obvious quality who doesnt care, or someone who cares with little quality - ie fraser, el abd etc

Either way, neither has worked this season which i guess highlights a real lack of quality amongst the permanent members of the squad - despite the 300 players that have turned out for us this year.

I don't think many lack passion.

Of the players that are actually ours, the only ones I could name that to me don't care enough are:

Jarrett, Mcleod.

Problem is when you are in a relegation scrap what you need is fight, not 5 bloody loan players.

Time for Fraser to replace Jarrett.

Difficult to disagree with this.

I do hope you are joking. Most of that team, yes, but.....

Andrew in our worst 11? Bloody hell he only played like 2 games and one of them he was influential, Hartlepool.

Thornton? He was a breath of fresh air, exactly the player we needed. Creative and skillful.

It's weird because I think every player in that team, barring El-Abd, has played at Championship level or higher...

I can't believe how instantly you take a disliking to my posts. If that's how you saw him, then you're very much in agreement with a gentleman who sits in front of me at the Withdean. We didn't win with him in the side, the facts don't lie. But I personally thought he was a quality player who was out of place in our midfield because noone had his speed of thought. He would have been better playing with an attacker next to him, he is getting on a little bit now so he wasn't going to get box to box. I think we wasted him a little bit through tactical ineptitude on Micky's sake (it hurts me to say that. ), but he's doing brilliantly in the right system for Derby now.

I was a bit harsh on Andrew though I suppose, HseagullsH. I needed to fill the team though and I couldn't think of anyone else, I wasn't going to include Gary Hart because, well, . But I suppose you could include Dixon for his sheer ineptitude, though most would have Davies in there I suppose. I do like Davies though, I think he'll be a big player for us next season when he's settled in. I think he's got some talent about him.

Either you believe because of who he is, he was good or you watch an entirely different game to the rest of us.

In the shadow of Seaford Head
I thought Matt Richards showed passion and commitment when with us. I agree that he had some odd moments but think he could hold his head high for his time here. One of the few good loan signings.

Apart from that it's Forster, Whing and Sullivan for me.

No, I saw him play and it was clear he still has quality, which is why he's in the Derby team in the Championship at the moment. He was too good for the rubbish around him, he stood out because he was just that much better. Much quicker footballing brain than anyone else on his team.
