Went for a meal in an italian restaurant in Bournemouth years ago with some mates on cricket tour. We were told to behave ourselves as they had a VIP coming in - it was Darren Anderton and his girlfriend who had just returned from the world cup in France. Walked into his girlfriend as I came out of the ladies loo!

Once saw Damien Duff at an Ocean Colour Scene concert at the Hammersmith Odeon (or whatever they call it now) when he was at Chelsea.

I had been over to see a mate at UMIST, was in the departure lounge at Manchester airport ordering a coffee whilst waiting for my flight back to the Island, when a guy stood next to me who looked like Ruud Guillet, thought nah it can't be.

Then in walked Vialli, Wise, the Romanian (whose name I cannot remember let alone spell) and the rest of the team, followed by Hoddle and assistant Goram. Then the agent Eric Hall.
Roz and I had a similar experience at Manchester Airport departure lounge after the opening game of a few seasons back against Burnley.

We were having a lively discussion with a bunch of Palace supporters, who were flying back from their match at Preston North End, when who should turn up but the entire Albion team, led by CPFC agent Martin Hinshelwood.

The CPFC lads were beside themselves with confusion.

:lolol:

A few days later, I heard from the legendary Cannarian Seagull, who had met Kerry Mayo somewhere. Apparently, Kerry had said to him ... "Hey, guess what? I met Lord and Lady Bracknell at Manchester Airport".

Ben Robinson, Nigel Clough, Aaron Webster, Andy Ducros, Darren Stride all in the Burton Albion player's lounge after a 1-0 defeat to Worksop Town in the FA Trophy last season, was in there because of Pete Elver who was managing director of the Pirelli Stadium.

Russell Hoult, was babysitting with Jennii some time last year in Coleorton when I was staying round at her house, and one of his kids was round and he came to pick them up.

Michael Reddy, Gary Croft, Isiah Rankin and Phil Jevons, all of or were of Grimsby.

I know he's not a footballer but 2 weeks ago I saw snooker player Shaun Murphy walking round Meadowhall with his missus.
