Last season 40 managers got sacked, and there were a further 18 changes in management in the football league. Can we say who won't get sacked it will be easier? Here are my tips to get sacked anyway.

Premier League:
Jol
Mancini
McLeish
Pardew
Colin Wanker
McCarthy

Championship:
Hill, Barnsley
Hughton, Birmingham (once new owners come in)
Millen, Bristol City
Thorn, Coventry
Freedman, Palace (after two 4-0 defeats to the Albion)
Clough, Derby
Cotterill, Portsmouth
Adkins, Southampton (who wants a physio as a coach?)

League One:
Bradbury, Bournemouth
Abbott, Carlisle
Ward, Colchester
Wadsworth, Hartlepool (with 6,000 sth the pressure will be on to not finish bottom half again)
Mad Dog on Notts County (he will throw one of his players in the Trent in some sort of team building exercise)
Dickov, Oldham
Parry, Tranmere (who wants a physio as a coach 2?)
Smith, Walsall
Skiverton, Yeovil

League Two:
Jackson, Bradford
Peschisolido, Burton
Yates, Cheltenham
Pitman, Hereford
Bentley, Morecambe
Johnson, Northampton
Adams, Port Vale
Di Canio, Swindon (he will spend more time with touchline bans than he will actually managing them)

After this seemingly obsessive list, I still have only come up with 31 mangers and you can make strong arguments against most of them not getting sacked, it just goes to show how short sighted most chairmen are.

Adkins will. He struggled to keep up with us last season when he had better players than us. Shit manager. Looks like a f***ing orange.

This is the thing, I don't really think he should or will be sacked, but if you try to come with the number of managerial changes there normally are, you have to come up with some pretty outlandish ideas.

you cant base his management ability on a couple of soundbites as some morons on here seem to do - three promotions out of league one, two with a small club is very very good. then keeping scunthorpe up was even more of an achievement

the ONLY way he will get sacked is if southampton have totally unrealistic expectations about where they will be this year

I think the Championship is going to see a huge amount of sackings this season. A lot of teams fancy themselves and a lot of managers have made promises that are going to be very, very tough to deliver. It should be interesting.

Or a bad start, then a few injuries to key players, say Lambert, Lallana and Fonte. You have to remember that Cortese is their MD and he could sack him at any point for the slightest reason. I actually think he is a pretty decent manager but I am playing devil's advocate a bit here. Loads of managers get sacked and it is unjust, I just think he could be one. I certainly wouldn't be listing him as my top tip to lose his job like some, but as one of 31 I think may get sacked this season. Sadly even more managers than this will probably lose their jobs this season.

i hate to bring cold hard fact into things, but from adkins taking over southampton they won 87 points. from the same point, we took 84

obviously, if we hadn't have colapsed after winning the title than that may look a little different. but if that record makes him a shit manager, then i'd hate to think what adjective could be applied to the likes of jeff wood and micky adams version 2
