Most excited once announced was The second coming of Adams, however after Poyet's press conference I ws cretin he would get us sorted and promoted in time for the Amex. He was oozing class and determination

Although the thread talks about post 1993 nothing will ever compare to the football equivalent of a managerial earthquake when Brian Clough arrived. The whole area couldn't believe that such an iconic figure was joining Brighton.

Had those of you who were excited about MA 2 (19% ffs) taken a sabbatical from watching and reading about football for a few years before that? I can't believe that, apart from the fact that Wilkins was being shat on from a great height, that you didn't realise how much of a dinosaur he was in the modern game and wanted him back. Unbelievable how many of you found that our most exciting appointment :nono:
