F1 is generally dull, but is mildly watchable with hamilton around i guess, however only really the start and the end is any good, i imagine it'd be good to see live though

rugby union is good at international level, don't really fancy it at club level although i've been to some live games and its been pretty good

rugby league is good at club level to watch, been to a few games and its pretty good live aswell

cricket is the sport of kings, probably the best spectator sport around

tennis is ok to play but wank to watch, and therefore it is my least fave

I'm not sure why but I can't stand to watch rugby unless it's the World Cup or something like that, however after 2 solid weeks of Wimbledon I tend to get bored of watching tennis too.

F1 must be like watching paint dry live. But at least they go round and round. Unlike Le Tour de France where they wizz past ONCE and that's yer lot

I like driving and karting but watching Formula One is sooooooo dull. Cricket is nice as a background to some serious eating and drinking; rugby can be good too for eating, drinking and entertainment; Tennis is also good if some cracking hotties are on show. Sorry tax dodgers, you lose.

Motor racing is indescribably, mind-numbingly boring. I'd rather have my finger nails pulled out.

Test Cricket is the highest art form known to man.

Rugby is ok, but the rules too complex and the game too messy to ever compete with football.

Tennis - perhaps depends more than any other sport on who is playing. If it is Federer or Nadal (or from previous eras, McEnroe, Agassi etc) then it is right up there with the great sports. If it is some over-hyped British no-hoper, give me a break. Women's tennis is always pretty enjoyable, even more so when someone like Sharapova is playing (great to look at and makes a noise like.....).

Aha ! , not always a wizzy once with the Tour de France. ;)

Took the whole family to both days of last years tour stages here and they all loved it. On the opening prologue in London we saw all the riders go up and then back down constitution hill, and people came out in their hundreds of thousands to see it. Admitted, on Goudhurst hill the following day we waited for over 2 hours to see the breakaway group whizz past in a matter of seconds and then the peleton do much the same. But the atmosphere was great on both days.

And when they had a stage finish in Brighton some years back, I saw the whole race spread out as it came up Elm Grove ( at a phenomenal speed for a bike btw) on several laps.

One day I shall make it to the Champs Elysees for the final stage and watch it wind up after several circuits for the inevitable sprint finish.

In case you hadn't noticed....I ADORE LE TOUR DE FRANCE !......it's the way it unfolds over the three weeks that I love.

On F1 though I couldn't agree more. Still undecided whether I prefer watching gloss or emulsion dry though.

went for f1 but really not sure it can be classed as a sport. How is driving a sport? Is commuting a sport. Cue lots of people saying it is and general abuse

Not easy to pick from that list. Have gone for tennis, but if it was tennis against a test match involving two teams I have no interest in then it would be cricket.

All the above assumes that by rugby you mean union. If you mean Rugby League then that every time since I cannot stand Rugby League.

Voted cricket by mistake (mis-read poll as well).

I HATE Rugby and F1

Not sure I follow your argument. Because people drive to work, driving fast in a race is not a sport. So does that mean that because some people walk, run or cycle to work none of them are sports either?

Tennis by a country mile. Rugby doesn't really interest to me but I have played it. Cricket is okay as it confuses Americans and F1 has suddenly got interseting thanks to Lewis Hamilton.

I try to be out of the country for Wimbledon, it infuriates me that the BBC spend so much of my license money on a virtually minority sport.
