Which is your favourite Roald Dahl's children's book?

This is the my favourite.This is a close 2nd. I remember my mum used to read this to me when I was a kid and could never finish a chapter with out breaking out in fits of laughter.

One of the first few books I first read by myself.

Boy/Going Solo. Read and re-read it about 10 times over the course of my youth, the bit about having his tonsils out still makes me squirm today.

Were you never 6,7 or 8 years old?

Yes, in the late 1950's and I read a lot of Enid Blyton, BB, Wind in the Willows, Comics - not sure Dahl was available then? Not in the Mobile Library that I used.
