Which is your favourite Albion game that we lost?

My choice is when we lost 5-3 to Cardiff back in '94.

I think we were 5-1 down and managed to pull two back. A great atmosphere with the trouble threatening to erupt. The game had everything, apart from a Brighton victory.

I quite 'enjoyed' the 2-1 at Spurs in Jan 06. We really played well, the Chippy free kick was great and it took a really class goal by Keane to beat us.

I'd go for that as well we did play really well that day but sadly class took its toll.

The FA Cup game at home to Arsenal in 1988. Packed Goldstone, Great Atmosphere. Great Memories !!!!

It was one amazing kick, basically out of the blue and without even looking, that won the game for Spurs. Whereas Seaman got lobbed a couple of times from distance, FDM would be hard to blame - it went into the only place where he couldn't reach.
Class? I'm not sure....maybe a fair bit of luck for Keane, but in the knowledge that a great striker instinctively knows where the goal is. I'd have to say, he makes his own luck.
Chippy's goal was class too though!

We lost 4-3 against Charlton in 1977. It was an evening game and a cracker. played at the old Valley which was huge, we had Peter Ward they had Mike Flannigan.

<Pettersons falling on arse moment made the Gillingham game a few years back suprisingly enjoyable after a bit of a ding-dong!

Losing to Arsenal at home in the cup is the only game I have seen where we lost and I actually enjoyed the match, packed Goldstone was always a good start but the atmosphere in the North was about the best I can remember. That was a star-studded Arsenal team, we were having a decent season and playing some fairly good football, they only led us for something like a dozen minutes if my memory serves me right...they scored on the stroke of half-time, we got ours immediately after the break and they netted their winner about ten minutes from the end. In fact that is probably one of my most memorable Albion games...happy days!

We played them off the park and Nelsons goal was sheer class.Kevin Brenmer missed an open goal in front of the north stand when it was 1-1.Then against the run of play the ginger groves scored.I was 15 and totally gutted.

The shine was taken off the day for me when I saw Arsenal fans indescriminantly attacking Brighton fans walking away from the ground...cockney scum.

Yes, we were. But I'm not sure any other type of performance, weather or manner of victory would have made the result quite as enjoyable!

Seaman?
Spurs keeper was Paul Robinson.
