Which is the best cinema screen / room in or close to Brighton?

Duke of Yorks always gets my vote. Balcony seats, beer, good screen, polite audience and, for a reasonable fee, their membership gives you discounts on tickets and something like three free tickets per year.

Definitely a winner.

Is IMAX that much better than normal cinema screens? I've never been and as I have yet to see the new Bond film, thought I might try IMAX for one of them just to see if its worth the trip.

I'm no afficionado of audio visual technology so can't really say. The screen is much bigger, and it seems louder so I'd say it definitely suits blockbusters. I rarely go to the cinema to be honest.

Probably worth a go if you haven't tried.
